Scene 4

Ext. Ice cave..day

Barry and colin have found an ice cave about five miles from the base. It is a little small for Colin but then, everything is. On Barry's instructions he has built a small but disappointing fire.

SFX:          (Crackling fire)

BARRY     Is that it?

 

COLIN      It is. The best I could do for a fire.

 

BARRY     That's your idea of building a fire?

 

COLIN      It's the best I could do with what I had.

 

BARRY      So, they didn't teach you basic survival skills in the boy scouts?

 

COLIN       I was never in the boy scouts. But I do possess some skills of my own. One of which is initiative. 

 

BARRY       Is that why you used your boots? 

 

COLIN        I couldn't find any wood.

 

BARRY        It might have been a better idea to take them off, first. 

 

COLIN         I'm not taking these things off. It's freezing in here.

 

BARRY        I would really consider taking them off quite soon, if I were you.
